Obedience Group Classes
At Willow Branch - Monticello, Il
Monticello Location- Our obedience classes are group classes with no more than 6 dogs in any given class. The classes are 6 weeks long. Start dates available on our Calendar. We offer 3 levels of obedience training (4 for puppies) that follows the APDT Canine Life and Social Skills Curriculum. We want you to have a dog trained for YOUR lifestyle and home. We do not focus excessively on tedious competition style obedience exercises, rather we practice skills for real life situations your family dog encounters on a daily basis!

This six week class is appropriate for dogs under 4 months old. We focus heavily on puppy social skills, socialization to new sights, sounds, and experiences, and the foundational obedience cues that will give you the control you need to survive puppyhood! This class follows the Canine Life and Social Skills High School Curriculum, and it also meets the requirements for AKC STAR Puppy!

Adult dogs no longer appropriate for Puppy High School should start at this level. This assumes your dog has comfort on a leash and collar, maybe knows some basic cues like sit and down, but still needs to learn obedience cues to help with day to day life!

This class focuses on expanding on cues learned in Bachelors by increasing the difficulty, duration, and distance of known cues! We will also learn new skills for new real life challenges!
Skills learned:
Wait in car before jumping out
Calmly pass other dogs
Wait at the door while stranger passes through
Sit-down-stand
Body handling for cooperative care
Loose leash walking over and past distractions
Stay + distance & distraction
Staying with a stranger (supervised separation)

This class offers your dog lots of new challenges! We work through challenging new environments and situations, as well as working towards learning the skills needed to pass the AKC Canine Good Citizen Test!

Forsyth location - obedience classes at Briggs republic are group classes with no more than 5 dogs in any given class. The classes are 6 weeks long. Start dates available on our Calendar. We currently offer 2 levels of obedience training (3 for puppies) with more coming soon! We follow the APDT Canine Life and Social Skills Curriculum. We want you to have a dog trained for YOUR lifestyle and home. We do not focus excessively on tedious competition style obedience exercises, rather we practice skills for real life situations your family dog encounters on a daily basis!
Each 6 week class is $200

Agility Classes
At Best Paw Forward Dog Training, we customize our classes to both people who have no prior experience in agility, and those who are already in the competition ring! We several levels of class, from basic foundations for beginners to Novice/Open level.

no experience required! our pre-agility class starts from the very beginning, and makes the assumption that the learner knows absolutely nothing about agility and we start from scratch!

Yes! We have both students that are competing and trialing in the ring, AND students who do not have a goal of trialing, and just want to participate for fun and exercise. However, please note that safety is paramount, so those who are taking agility for fun will still be held to the same safety standards as those who trial (ex. must be ready and progressed through appropriate training before getting on large contact equipment).

Private Training
Some dogs have needs that are best address in a one-on-one setting! Maybe you have specific goals that need to be individual addressed, or your dog is too energetic/distractable/powerful for a group class setting. If this is your concern, don’t worry! Many people start off with private lessons and gain some foundation skills, and then are smoothly able to transition into group obedience classes. Other people prefer the individually tailored style of private lessons and prefer to learn this way! Book an appointment below!
In-home Training
Book your phone consult today! Sometimes dogs have concerns that are best addressed in your home directly! Maybe you have a specific issue related to your home set up (window barking, counter surfing, dashing out the door), or you have a dog that is reactive or aggressive and you need some tailored one on one behavioral work in your home. For home visits, Jenna will travel directly to your home to train your dog!

Virtual Training
Book a virtual training session with Jenna to address any issue of your choice. This option is best for clients where home visits might be impractical due to circumstances or distance.
Virtual sessions can address anything from aggression, reactivity, anxiety, problem behaviors etc, to something as simple as puppy training! After booking, Jenna will reach out to you via email to discuss what platform you would like to use for your session (google meet, zoom, etc).

Room Rental
Our training room is available to rent for whatever your needs may be. Training room is kept clean, has rubber sport flooring, is regularly sanitized and is a sizable open space. Available for rent for:
